The Vicar Man Is A BBNYA Semi-Finalist!

If you've been reading my blog for a while (why? why would you subject yourself to that?) you are probably aware that I am pretty much the Imposter Syndrome Queen. Or probably not: I mean, I'm not that good at it. People probably just think I'm good at imposter syndrome because I've managed to give that impression but... You get what I mean.

So I was not expecting to receive an email informing me that my book has made it through to the semi-finals of the Book Bloggers' Novel of the Year Awards. If you need me, I'll be in the corner, rocking back and forth and mouthing: "They like me. They really like me."

The front cover of The Vicar Man, the background is in dark shades of blue and green, giving the vague impression of a cliff, sea, and sky. In the top third is the outline of a horned, goat-eared head. Two vertical lozenge shapes contain portraits of, in one, a blond man wearing round spectacles and black, nineteenth century clerical vestments of the Church of England, and in the other, a young woman with loose curling hair, wearing a white blouse and red bodice and a glum expression, resting her head in her hand, with her elbow propped upon a bar. The title: The Vicar Man is in the middle of the cover, in gold, and the author's name: Amelia Crowley, is in a smaller, horizontal lozenge toward the bottom left corner.
