Books Make Sleepy

This was supposed to be a blog about Authors At The Armouries: an event for authors and readers, that took place at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, last weekend. Unfortunately, in planning said blog, I forgot to take into account the fact that I would be attending said event and that I would therefore, on the following week, be completely and utterly shattered. To shattered to walk straight, too shattered to think straight, too shattered to think of a good joke to go at the end of this sentence and definitely, if not too shattered to write, too shattered to write well. Despite all my best efforts the blog is not happening. Sorry about that. Here, have a nice cup of chocolate and a biscuit, and I'll tell you all about it next week.

On a somewhat battered, but still cheerful, rainbow painted table, sit a trio of items: a large shortbread biscuit, iced with books in pink and white (from Sugar Coat It Cookie) a mug, shaped like a flowerpot and inscribed with the words "Chillin' With My Gnomies" and a picture of a garden gnome (a gift from author Lucy Felthouse) now positively overflowing with hot chocolate and chocolate squirty cream, and a toadstool-shaped candle lantern, as seen in previous posts, which was already mine, but looks nice in the picture anyway. To the far left of the image, next to the biscuit, is the edge of something wooden. In fact that's a wooden toadstool that I'd meant to include in the picture but hadn't because I am, in fact, ridiculously tired.
It took me three goes just to get the alt text in the right place.

See you then.
